I hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday! I sure am because I just had another lesson from my photography teachers Aimee and Stud from It's Overflowing! This week, we learned about Shutter Priority mode. I must confess: I did not completely follow my assignment guidelines. I forgot to put my ISO setting on auto, so all of my pics are ISO 100. Oops...
There is a nice little waterfall down the street from my house that I can walk to in one minute. I am blessed with such beauty. Today is cloudy so my pics are dark but I captured the effects of faster vs slower shutter speed. I took about 100 pictures today at the waterfall and I put a few collages together to demonstrate the use of different shutter speeds.
The little park is named Cascade Falls. It is looks dreary today but it's really a beautiful place. I want to thank Aimee and Stud for the lessons. I hope to get some sunny days so I can try out faster shutter speeds at the falls. Go on over to It's Overflowing! and you'll see some very creative work by Aimee. See you next week!
Hi lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the water fall are Incredible !! I don't know if my Nikon Coolpix L120 can do this ?
If it did I could take a photo of the wine going in to the glass on my Tablescapes Wow this would be great..
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on my Tablescape and Kitchen so sweet of you.

Love your photos! I just realized I left my ISO on 100 too. OOPS! I love the 1/320s and the 1/125s on your photos. I agree w/you completely about I also cannot wait for a sunny day to see the difference in the on the higher shutter settings as well. I took several more photos on our boat tonight using the lower shutter speed and was amazed at how much light was let into the photo without a flash. Very interesting lesson and great photos from you too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Getting to my lesson late and now will have to wait for some sunlight to complete my project! That pretty waterfall would be frozen solid if you lived where I do you lucky gal!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great tutorial - thank you!! Those shots capture shutter speed PERFECTLY!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your blog - I've had a lovely nose around and have signed up to follow you!
